Huffington Post: Why should you intern?

In your journalism classes, you learn you need to include the five W’s in your reporting. Now, maybe you should ask those questions to yourself, specifically why? Why intern? This blog is meant as a source for interns but we hope it also motivates you.

Here is why you should intern, according to the Huffington Post.

According to a UChic study: 86 percent of young women believe that extracurricular activities (e.g. internships, trips abroad, industry conferences, etc.) are important to their future careers.

Here are ways you benefit by doing so:

  • You find your passion.
  • You earn your bravery badge.
  • You get the ball rolling.
